The main focus of our department is to prepare top-notch PE teachers through theoretical and practical lessons.

 

The main objective of the Department of Physical Education at the Faculty of Education, Charles University is to prepare teachers of Physical Education for all types of primary and secondary schools. The structure of the study programmes follows the European Union’s Bologna Declaration, with studies being divided into a 3-year B.A. programme (180 ECTS) and a 2-year M.A. programme (120 ECTS). Graduates of the M.A. programme become fully qualified teachers.

In addition to research, the department’s international cooperation includes student and staff exchanges. The department has connections with educational departments in several countries.

For Erasmus+ students, we offer a variety of interesting courses (z interesting course prolink na nabízené předměty), mainly focused on practical topics, and non-physical education students are also welcome.
